Frank Haslam Milan is playing a major role in delivering sustainable communities by helping to bring all social housing up to the Government's Decent Homes Standard by 2010.
We have extensive experience of working in partnership to deliver affordable homes and bring new life to previously run-down areas.
We work to transform places where people no longer want to live into popular, thriving, mixed communities. This often involves building strong, new relationships which empower local people and foster community spirit and engagement. Often critical to this is ensuring improvement work is handled as sensitively as possible, with the minimum of disruption.
Our wide range of partners include Housing Associations and other social landlords, Local Authorities, Arms Length Management Organisations and Large Scale Voluntary Transfers.
Local communities tell us they want well-designed, eco-friendly and competitively priced homes. We are responding to their needs with a variety of projects.
We are also working with local authorities to modernise thousands of properties with new kitchens and bathrooms, new electrics, plumbing and envelope schemes.
FHM is about more than just bricks and mortar. We have boosted employment prospects by training more than 300 apprentices at special centres, through our partnership with the Learning and Skills Council.
Overall the most important challenge for us is to be able to continually adapt as a business & help create a range of innovative solutions to support our partners in regenerating communities & delivering a positive legacy that will last long into the future.
